Bubble Girl

Today was an absolutely awesome day . . . until it wasn't.  This morning I discovered that I won the giveaway at Blackberry Quilts.  I was super excited and able to sustain the excitement most of the day.  I just wanted to come home, go for a jog and then get to creating!  Tomorrow was going to be my 9-80 and I was going to have a 3 day weekend.  Tonight I could stay up late, sew, draw and just relax.  Tomorrow B. and I were headed to the Quilt Festival. 

Around 5:30 p.m. my upbeat mood skidded to a halt.  Let's just say that my day off tomorrow disappeared in a puff of smoke and now I'll be working.   I worked late tonight, didn't get my planned run in and was in a general bad mood.  Then I took my dog for a walk, ate and sat down and did today's envelope.  I've reconciled . . . I'll take Monday off and perhaps on Sunday I'll make it to the Festival.  For the last several years I have taken this week off for vacation and spent numerous days at the Quilt Festival.  I guess it's not to be this year.  Heavy sigh.

So, to the girl in the bubble who made me happy tonight . . .
